Solar Panels on the Lower Section of the Pole
Solar panels should be installed on the lower part of the pole to minimize wind resistance and maintain the pole’s structural integrity.
Balance the weight of the solar panel and any associated equipment to prevent excessive strain on the pole.
Use a concrete foundation that meets StrongPoles’ specifications to provide additional support.
AVOID TOP MOUNTING
Mounting solar panels at the top of the pole is not recommended, as it may lead to increased movement under high wind conditions. Please put solar panels on our Direct-Bury pole adjacent and near our camera pole, if you have no other choice than to mount on our camera pole, you must remember there are benefits of lower placement. In fact, it is better to mount solar panels on our Direct-Bury pole adjacent and near our camera pole.
